JVC ProHD support for Avid editing systems

JVC announced today that Avid Technology, Inc. will support the company's ProHD format in its new line of Media Composer® NewsCutter® and Symphony® editing systems. Avid® customers will now be able to natively ingest high definition material acquired from JVC ProHD camcorders, VTR and hard disk recorders.

Looks like Fox News thought they were going to embarass Obama supporter Father Michael Pfleger, by sending out one of their henchmen to ambush him over his ties to and support of Barack Obama. Instead they got their tiny, little bigoted and ignorant heads handed to them. Beautiful. Simply beautiful.

Citigroup Inc. shares were doing well Friday, as the bank became the latest to attract buyers after falling short of causing a famine in its earnings release. The company booked more than $13 billion in write-downs and lost $5.1 billion for the quarter, or $1.02 a share. Revenue plunged 48% to $13.22 billion. Analysts polled by Thomson Financial had expected a loss of 95 cents a share on revenue of $12.77 billion. 8:33 a.m. ET: The call is beginning, which will be directed by CEO Vikram Pandit
